A separate project laboratory also exists to enable the
students to carry out project works.

There
are 6 well- equipped, spacious Computer Laboratories having workstations
and servers (SCSI HDD) with latest configuration under LAN network
using licensed software from Microsoft Corporation. Internet
and e-mail facilities also exist for use by the students and staff
members.

Engineering and Civil Engineering
At
present, these departments cater to the academic needs of first
year students of all branches of technology as per VTU. Full-fledged
Basic Workshops viz., Carpentry, Fitters, Sheet Metal and Welding
exist in a separate block.
Departments of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
These
departments cater to the academic needs of engineering students
as per VTU. There are well equipped, spacious, state-of-art Engineering
Physics Laboratory and Engineering Chemistry Laboratory. Detailed
manuals for these laboratories are available for the benefit of
students.
Placement
and Training Centre
The
centre arranges training for students in personality development
etc. It locates the probable employers and arranges for interviews
and possible employment. It also acts as information centre for
those students who wish to pursue higher studies abroad and appear
for GATE and competitive examinations.
Library
and Information Centre
The
library has good number of computers and a good collection of
CDs, floppies, cassettes and other audio-visuals. It has about
11,000 volumes covering all the technical subjects prescribed
by VTU and BU and adequate number of national and international
technical journals in the various branches of Engineering.
Department
of Physical Education
All
the indoor and outdoor sports facilities exist. Many of our
students have represented the VTU in several tournaments and brought
laurels to our Institute.
Hostels
At present there is a hostel for boys in the city. A new hostel
block has been constructed in the Institute Campus for 200 students
and is ready for occupation. Present City hostel for boys will
be converted into girls from September 2003, i.e., for the academic
year 2003-04 admissions.
Transport
The Institute provides six bus services for the benefit of staff
and students to commute from various pick up points from various
in the city to VIT Campus and back.
